San Ramon, California - April 9, 2009 - Alachisoft announces the release of NCache 3.6 with the introduction of a Professional Edition, reduced prices, object tagging, object versioning, Windows PowerShell integration, and much more. NCache is a leading distributed cache for .NET and helps boost performance and scalability in enterprise .NET applications through object caching and ASP.NET Session State storage.
NCache also provides a rich set of caching topologies to handle different types of cache usage. This includes Mirrored, Replicated, Partitioned, Partition-Replica, and Client Cache topologies. All these powerful features make NCache an enterprise level .NET distributed cache.
NCache Professional Edition is introduced to cater for lower end of the market as it is half the price of the Enterprise Edition. Additionally, NCache prices for Enterprise Edition have been reduced. All of this is done in light of the new economic conditions to help our customers still buy NCache.
The tagging feature makes it possible to associate one or more tags with cache items for logical grouping of the items. It also makes searching for items easier since a query can be performed based on these tags in order to locate items in cache.
A distributed locking mechanism (pessimistic/optimistic) helps maintain a cache item version for each item residing within the cache. And, Windows PowerShell integration provides easy deployment and management of the cache on the network.
