What happens when I remove a Read-through or Write-through provider from a cache?

When you remove a Read-through or Write-through provider, the cache will stop performing read or write operations through the removed provider.

How do I specify which provider to remove from the cache?

You can specify which provider to remove by using the -ProviderName parameter along with either the -ReadThru or -WriteThru switch, depending on the type of provider you wish to remove.

Can I remove both Read-through and Write-through providers in a single command?

No. To maintain explicit governance, you must run the cmdlet twice: once with the -ReadThru switch and once with the -WriteThru switch.

Remove-BackingSource

This PowerShell cmdlet removes the pre-configured backing source providers (Read-through or Write-through) from the cache. Once the provider is removed, the cache will no longer perform read or write operations through the specified provider.
