Class ConnectionOptions

Specifies the connection options used by a client application to connect to an NCache cache. These options include server endpoints, security settings, and other application-specific connection settings. Client connection tuning, load balancing, logging, and client cache settings are managed by the cache server and provided to the client upon connection.

Use ConnectionOptions with Alachisoft.NCache.Client.CacheManager.GetCache(System.String,Alachisoft.NCache.Client.ConnectionOptions). The class is retained for backward compatibility.

Inheritance
System.Object
ConnectionOptions
Namespace:
Assembly: Alachisoft.NCache.Client.dll
Syntax
public class ConnectionOptions : object
Examples
ConnectionOptions options = new ConnectionOptions();
options.IsInproc = false;
options.Security = SecurityOptions.CreateWithCredentials("userId", "password");
options.Servers = new List<ServerInfo> { new ServerInfo("remoteServer", 9800) };

ICache cache = CacheManager.GetCache("demoCache", options);

Properties

Name Description
AppName

Specifies the name used to identify the client application across reconnections. If not specified, the process ID is used.

BindToIP

Specifies the local IP address to which the client binds when multiple network interfaces are available.

IgnoreClientCache

When true, this connection ignores the server-driven client cache and talks only to the server cache.

IsInproc

Specifies whether the cache runs within the application process. When set to true, the cache runs in-process. When set to false, the client connects to an out-of-process cache. If not explicitly set, the isolation level is determined by the application configuration.

Security

SecurityOptions used for authentication and authorization when connecting to a security-enabled cache.

Servers

List of ServerInfo for the cache servers to connect to.

TLSCertPassword

Specifies the password for the encrypted private key associated with the certificate defined by TLSCertPath. This property is not required for an unencrypted private key. If specified, this value takes precedence over tlsCertPassword in the ncache section of the application configuration.

TLSCertPath

Specifies the path to the client certificate used for mutual TLS authentication. The certificate may be provided in PEM format or, for .NET Framework, PFX format. If specified, this value takes precedence over tlsCertPath in the ncache section of the application configuration.
