Windows Event Logging
NCache provides Windows Event Logging support to record important events in the Windows Event Log.This allows monitoring of all such events through Windows Event Viewer or with any other tool that supports the Windows Event Logger. Windows Event Logging helps users monitor cache activity, track service and cache lifecycle events, and troubleshoot issues in distributed cache environments. Some of the events that are logged include:
All NCache installation events. These events are a combination of successful or aborted installations.
All errors encountered by NCache, Bridge, and Memcached services.
Service start and stop events.
Cache start and stop events.
Cache server joining or leaving a cache cluster.
Cache size going above a configurable 80% threshold.
