The NCache team is excited to announce the release of NCache 5.3 SP5! Whether you’re modernizing your infrastructure, improving application performance, or upgrading security, this update delivers where it counts.
With added support for Windows Server 2022/2025 and .NET 8 and .NET 9, you’re ready to run on the latest platforms, ensuring smooth, hassle-free compatibility. Security is enhanced with TLS 1.3, mutual TLS, and structured key management (KEK, DEK, and CEK). Moreover, the Full-Data Client Cache is the new frontier of performance in distributed caching, which allows local querying for faster data access. Continuous Query performance has been enhanced for better responsiveness under load. Moreover, several legacy features have also been deprecated.

Support for Windows Server 2022 & 2025 (New)
SP5 now supports Windows Server 2022 and 2025, so you can confidently upgrade your environments without any compatibility concerns.
.NET 8 & .NET 9 Compatibility for Clients (New)
If your applications are using .NET 8 or .NET 9, NCache 5.3 SP5 has you covered with full compatibility for .NET 8 and .NET 9 clients, so you can update your applications smoothly without any code changes.
Enhanced Security (New)
Keeping your data safe is more critical than ever. NCache 5.3 SP5 delivers powerful upgrades to protect your cache and communications with the latest security standards:
- TLS 1.3 & Mutual TLS (mTLS): NCache now supports TLS 1.3, along with the ability to assign separate certificates for clients and servers in mutual TLS (mTLS). This provides better flexibility and improved certificate management in secure environments. Moreover, management operations are now supported in TLS.
- Encryption Key Management: NCache enhances data protection with strong cache-level encryption using three key types: KEK (Key Encryption Key), DEK (Data Encryption Key), and CEK (Credentials Encryption Key) – easily managed via configuration. This flexible approach ensures security and compliance, making NCache a smart choice for protecting critical information.
Full-Data Client Cache Mode (New)
NCache’s Full-Data Client Cache caches complete dataset(s) in L1 (client-side) for faster access and better query performance. L1 preloads data from the distributed cache (L2) at startup, and you can specify datasets to cache. This reduces dependency on L2, optimizing memory usage, and enabling targeted querying.
Enhanced Continuous Query Performance (New)
Continuous Queries are now faster and more stable, especially under heavy traffic. Whether you’re monitoring changes in specific cache entries or responding to real-time events, you’ll now experience smoother, quicker, and more reliable CQ notifications.
Deprecated Features
Legacy features like Cache Dependency, SQL Dependency, MapReduce, Distributed Lucene, Streaming API, and others have been officially deprecated. You can see the list of deprecated features in the release notes. If your application still relies on any of these features, contact NCache Support for assistance.
